DJ KU is one of Florida's most highly recognized and sought after DJ's.
With over ten years of solid DJ experience under his belt, he continues
to be one of the southeast's most respected and influential DJ's in the
nightclub scene. KU began his lifelong relationship with music as a
diehard hip hop junkie, but through the years, his ear quickly became
attracted to and exposed to the likes of funk, soul, house, electro, and
more. And today, with an unquestioned love for all kinds of music, his
catalogue spans the test of time and has proved itself time and time
again to entertain any crowd.
KU has traveled the country, as well
as parts of the world to bring his signature sound to audiences of all
kind. Past cities include the likes of Los Angeles, Miami, Las Vegas,
Vancouver, Tokyo, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Boston, Austin, and many more.
Through the years he has been fortunate enough to work with such
nationally acclaimed acts like the late DJ AM, DJ Jazzy Jeff, DJ Scene,
DJ Vice, Tony Touch, Lil Jon, Diplo, and more. Noteworthy celebrities he
has had the honor to provide soundtracks for include Kendra Wilkinson,
Kim Kardashian, Bill Bellamy, Michael Jordan, Derek Jeter, and more.
Throughout
the years, his efforts have not gone unrecognized. His critically
acclaimed mixtape, "Ill Commuzikation," has moved over 5000 units in
Florida alone and has been downloaded over 10,000 times since 2009.
Also, during the summer of 2011, he was invited to join Critical
Beatdown, a collective of DJs, crowd movers, and taste makers with
members all throughout the United States. As of recent, Pulse Magazine, a
publication based in central Florida, named him club DJ of the Year for
2012! And finally in May of 2012, Ku was invited to compete in the
infamous Red Bull Thre3style (Southeast Regionals in Charlotte, NC) and
came home the champ!
